Acting For Real  What exactly IS it that actors DO to create dramatic and believable characters?  How do they transform themselves into different roles and convince us that they are REAL people?  And it's not just about learning all those lines!  Come learn the basics of acting technique that will benefit you both on and off the stage.

African Dance Traditional rhythms and dances of Ghana, AFRICA! Class starts with a thorough warm-up leading right into a super dance experience! You will build physical strength, stamina and coordination while releasing built up tension and mental baggage. African Dance is designed to meet the needs of all levels of students, including those who have never danced. We cultivate a safe and healthy environment for EVERYONE to learn, express themselves and let loose! Wear comfortable clothing, we dance barefoot.

Ballet Workout Similar to Dance Workout using Ballet moves and exercises to strengthen, tone, align, and stretch your entire body. If you enjoy or want to try the elegance of Ballet and work off those inches, this is the class for you. No experience necessary.

Ballet Modern classical ballet forms a strictly defined dance vocabulary. Classes will emphasize posture, placement, basic positions, center floor patterns, and locomotor movements. Movement is geared for each level. Wear ballet slippers. Levels I through II.

Ballroom You will learn basic patterns for Merengue, Rumba, Salsa, Waltz, Cha Cha and Swing.
Want to ballroom dance but don’t have a partner? Have two left feet? Dancin’ David’s Ballroom Line Dancing classes are made for you. Come have fun and move!

Ballroom Line Dancing
You will learn basics of posture, partnering and patterns in Merengue, Rumba and Swing. These dances can be done at almost any social event.
Going to a wedding or corporate party? Want to look and feel great on the dance floor? Want to meet new people? Dancin’ David’s Ballroom Basics class was made for you!

Belly Dance An exotic classical form to improve posture, tone muscles, and increase self confidence! Accompanied by heavily syncopated music of the Mid-East, students will study the naturally expressive movements for which this form has become so popular. This class is open to all levels, no experience necessary.

Modern/African Dance Fusion    An expressive, fun, high energy dance FITNESS class ! This class blends many modern dance principles and techniques with joyful movements and pulsating rhythms of West African Dance.Class includes warmups, isolations, movement across the floor, and a choreography segment. No Previous Dance Experience Necessary.

Dance Around the World with Live Drumming This dynamic dance class is accompanied by the pulsating and joyful rhythms of the djembe (drum). Feel grounded and connected to your senses by exploring choreographed and freestyle dance expression through West African, Brazilian, Middle Eastern, Modern and other cultural dances.
These dances provide a perfect blend of athleticism and grace. No dance experience necessary.

Dances of Tahiti, Africa & Brazil This class emphasizes fitness through dance! Learn folkloric, sacred and modernized dances of Tahiti, Africa, Brazil and beyond. Class is accompanied by pulsating-joyful rhythms. A great way to gain stamina, strength, and flexibility while having fun. Open to all levels.

Irish Dance  This class is Traditional Irish Stepdance. You will learn basic movements and timing for the Irish jig, reels, slipjigs, hornpipes, treble jigs, and a variety of 2, 3, 4, and 8 person group dances.  The emphasis will be on traditional steps and music, as passed down from generation to generation.  Class is geared toward the new dancer, but those with other dance experience, and those with Irish dance experience are welcomed to join as movements will be geared toward individual dancers.  Wear ghillies (Irish light shoes, we can order), ballet slippers, sneakers or dancer sneakers, or socks. 

 Isadora Duncan Dance Natural, expressive style of dance pioneered by Isadora Duncan. This class helps develop grace and artistry. Duncan Dance is heavily influenced by poetry, music, and mythology. Bring your ideas! We will dance them. No experience necessary, all levels welcome.

Jazz (All That Jazz) Learn all styles of Jazz dance technique including Pop, Broadway, Hip-Hop, and Lyrical. Class includes warm-up, stretching, and floor combinations, and will help to develop rhythm and performance skills. This class is open to all levels, no experience necessary.

Lyrical Jazz is sometimes thought of a soft jazz. It uses movement to express feelings and ideas. It is a combination of jazz and ballet, which develops strength, flexibility, fluidity and intent. Class will include warm-ups, dance combinations and a cool down stretch to contemporary music.

Modern Dance The experience of modern technique is equal to the intensity of ballet & jazz with greater emphasis on the movement exploration. Modern technique develops a strong flexible body through excercises, combinations and across the floor patterns designed to increase the students sense of time, space, weight and dynamics. Levels I & II.

 Modern Hip Hop Fusion  will combine fluid modern movement with hip hop beat and rhythms.This class focuses on beat and emotional expression. Class includes warm-up, strength & stretch, center and across the floor, and dances phrases. This interpretive style is for anyone who enjoys  Hip Hop, R&B Jazz, and Funk Music.

Move Your Body (It's the only one you've got!) A uniquely designed movement workout by Maude Baum to get every part of your body in shape, moving and having fun! - improve breathing, core muscle strength, flexibility, cardio endurance, balance; enhance your joy in moving and let your inner kid out to play! Music keeps the workout upbeat! She uses breath training during all activities, exercise balls, moving across the floor, lots of core movement, singing to the music (shower voices accepted), free movement and lots of stretching … all packed into one hour and 15 minutes.

Musical Theater Jazz Remember “Singing in the Rain”, “Cool” from West Side Story, “One Singular Sensation” from Chorus Line, “All that Jazz” or “Cell Block Tango” from Chicago? Easy to learn versions of dances from the movies will have you singing along as you learn some jazz, street funk, Bennet, Robins,Fosse style modern, character dance and more. Warm-ups will begin and cool down stretching will end each class. Some dance experience is helpful.

Nia is a path to condition, heal and express your self through movement and sensation. A dynamic blend of dance arts, martial arts and healing arts, Balancing technical precision with free-form expression, Nia brings the body, mind, emotions and spirit to optimum health through music, movement and self-expression, guided by the sensation of Pleasure.
Nia is designed for any body. It is ageless and limitless, transformational and effective for every person everywhere, from athletes, dancers and fitness instructors, to children, special needs groups and the elderly. With the philosophy, Through Movement We Find Health, Nia addresses the whole person through music and movement integrated from nine traditional movement forms.

Pilates Classical beginning mat focuses on developing core strength and stability through a full body workout. Long term benefits of Pilates include: longer, leaner muscles, improved posture and coordination, and heightened body awareness. No experience necessary.Tap Tap dancing is an American tradition. Learn all the basic steps including time steps, military rhythms, buffalo, and fancy footwork. Dances will be developed as class progresses. Wear tap shoes. Levels I & II.

Wholehearted Body Workout A unique combination of: cardio, pilates, yoga, and stretching- it’s a blast!
Had enough of the treadmill and the gym? Want to get your whole body in shape and need a place to start? eba’s Maude Baum will get every part of your body in shape and moving by improving core muscle strength, flexibility, cardio endurance, and balance. This fun music-filled workout uses breath training, exercise balls, stretchy bands, moving across the floor, jump ropes, lots of core movement, singing to the music (shower voices are fine!), and floor and ball stretches… all packed into 45 minutes!

World Dance Learn traditional folkloric secular and sacred dances from Africa, Cuba, Brazil, Haiti and beyond. This dynamic class, begins with an exhilarating warm-up that focuses on developing strength, stamina and flexibility with an emphasis on exercises designed to prepare for executing African-derived dance movement. This class is open to all levels.

Yoga A meditative flow of breathing and stretchingto teach body awareness and coordination of breath through yoga movement. Class will begin with gentle warm-ups and progress to a sequential posture flow, finishing with meditation. Level I and II.

Zumba An exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, hip-swinging movements meant to keep you working out. It incorporates salsa, samba, meringue, reggae, cumbia, hip hop and african rhythms. This energizing class is a workout for the body and soul. No experience necessary, all levels welcome.

Zumba Gold® targets the largest growing segment of the population: baby boomers- as well as any age person that is new to Zumba or wants a gentler Zumba Class. It takes the Zumba® formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant, as well as those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. What stays the same are all the elements the Zumba® Fitness-Party is known for: the zesty Latin music, like salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggaeton; the exhilarating, easy-to-follow moves; and the invigorating, party-like atmosphere. Zumba Gold® is the perfect fit. It’s a dance-fitness class that feels friendly, and most of all, fun!
